【摘要】:TheRQDwasfirstintroducedinthemid1960stoprovideasimpleandinexpensivegeneralindicationofrockmassqualitytopredicttunnellingconditionsandsupportrequirements.TherecordingofRQDhassincebecomevirtuallystandardpracticeindrillcoreloggingforawidevarietyofgeotechnicalinvestigations.TheRQDvaluesprovideabasisformakingpreliminarydesigndecisionsinvolvingestimationofrequireddepthsofexcavationforfoundationsofstructures.TheRQDvaluesalsocanservetoidentifypotentialproblemsrelatedtobearingcapacity,settlement,erosion,orslidinginrockfoundations.TheRQDcanprovideanindicationofrockqualityinquarriesforconcreteaggregate,rockfill,orlargeriprap.TheRQDhasbeenwidelyusedasawarningindicatoroflow-qualityrockzonesthatmayneedgreaterscrutinyorrequireadditionalboringsorotherinvestigationalwork.TheRQDisabasiccomponentofmanyrockmassclassificationsystemsforengineeringpurposes.Usedalone,RQDisnotsufficienttoprovideanadequatedescriptionofrockmassquality.TheRQDdoesnotaccountforjointorientation,tightness,continuity,andgougematerial.TheRQDmustbeusedincombinationwithothergeologicalandgeotechnicalinput.TheRQDissensitivetotheorientationofjointsetswithrespecttotheorientationofthecore.Thatis,ajointsetparalleltothecoreaxiswillnotintersectthecore,unlessthedrillholehappenstorunalongthejoint.Ajointsetperpendiculartothecoreaxiswillintersectthecoreaxisatintervalsequaltothejointspacing.Forintermediateorientations,thespacingofjointintersectionswiththecorewillbeacosinefunctionofanglebetweenjointsandthecoreaxis.CoresizesfromBQtoPQwithcorediametersof36.5mm(1.44in.)and85mm(3.35in.),respectively,arenormallyacceptableformeasuringRQDaslongasproperdrillingtechniquesareusedthatdonotcauseexcesscorebreakageorpoorrecovery,orboth.TheNX-size(54.7mm[2.16in.])andNQ-size(47.5mm[1.87in.])aretheoptimalcoresizesformeasuringRQD.TheRQDisalsousefulforlargecorediametersprovidedthecorediameterisclearlystated.TheRQDcalculatedforcoresmallerthanBQmaynotberepresentativeofthetruequalityoftherockmass.Note18212;Thequalityoftheresultproducedbythisstandardisdependentonthecompetenceofthepersonnelperformingit,andthesuitabilityoftheequipmentandfacilitiesused.AgenciesthatmeetthecriteriaofPracticeD3740aregenerallyconsideredcapableofcompetentandobjectivetesting/sampling/inspection/etc.UsersofthisstandardarecautionedthatcompliancewithPracticeD3740doesnotinitselfassurereliableresults.Reliableresultsdependonmanyfactors;PracticeD3740providesameansofevaluatingsomeofthosefactors.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftherockqualitydesignation(RQD)asastandardparameterindrillcorelogging.1.2AllobservedandcalculatedvaluesshallconformtotheguidelinesforsignificantdigitsandroundingestablishedinPracticeD6026.1.2.1Themethodusedtospecifyhowdataarecollected,calculated,orrecordedinthisstandardisnotdirectlyrelatedtotheaccuracytowhichthedatacanbeappliedindesignorotheruses,orboth.Howoneappliestheresultsobtainedusingthisstandardisbeyonditsscope.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoinch-poundunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.4Thisst......
